Dana I didn't mean "guys" as in BOYS I meant all of yall, guys and gals you included and don't get me started on you, I remember Everything if you don't beleive ask Lisa. By the way Yall leave Mr. Long along he did teach us math ya know, along with a lot of other stuff to boot. I use to hate writing out of that algebra book and not to mention he was the hardest paddler I ever had and I got it at Owens. If yall remember I let the whole school know when I screamed down the hall Anthony had on parchute pants that day, I had on Levi's with no pockets Travis and Alan were just dressed

Jessica Ramsey (Scott) Does anyone remember the "sentence" Mr Long would have you write 500 times if you got caught talking in class? More like an essay....If a window pane so many inches thick with the temperatura inside, etc....I had to write it alot! Deb T...I have pics of the state basketball trip & Montgomery trip. WOW!!!!! Yall are ALL nuts!!! haha I LOVE THIS!!
I've got SO many memories that I would love to discuss on here.....but I teach high school students and they would have a BALL blackmailing me w/ this.
I do remember the Beta Trip where we got in trouble w....and the PLANK (Dana) and the GOO (Lisa & Jessica)....haha. Jessica, do you remember when me, you, and Sherry Patterson snuck out of my parents' house and rode to Florence w/ some dudes we barely knew??? We locked my little dog in my bedroom so he wouldn't bark! I know I will get paid back so bad when Caleb and Carson start driving!!

Jessica Ramsey (Scott) Monica, I seem to recall a Florence trip to a guys house that had a blind mother...we thought if we were really quiet she wouldn't know we were there (so lame). Also something about a police car on the way home because SOMEBODY was in the hatchback! Do you remember getting stuck UNDER your own car at Lance McLemore's because you were cold? haha Good blackmail material!haha

yea, I remember a lot of stuff involving Monica but I wasn't going to bring all that up. wonder why?

anybody remember the skit at pep rally where Jessica was either the plumber with the plunger or the lunchroom lady hollering "extra napkins 5 cents each." I remember I was a football player and I used Deborah Horton's sweatband on my head that she wore to school that day.

BTW... I saw her at McDonald's in Decatur a couple years ago. Remember those sweatpants she wore that said JUICY across her butt. She was ahead of her time. Now that company is called Juicy Couture. LOL

And from what I've seen Scott Burchell and Tracy Sherril are in the race.
Me and Travis will pull up the rear in the Competition.
I just wonder ....... will the Long Red Curls come back Hmmmmmm.......If I don't pick up Gunny we will find out!!
Maybe, just maybe, we can get Roger to talk to Billy Ray Cyrus in Nashville and ask him to come down and give out an award for Best Mullet .
Who knows!!!!!!

Everybody take a look at the Senior Portarits Page. Due to fact she did not want to be revieled, I want call her name until a later date. Thanks to her she scanned all the photos for me. Huge help. I thank her, I thank her, and I thank her.
Look at all the photos that are missing, if you have those photos please email them to me the sooner the better. Again thanks for everybody that is helping with the site. Those who are not helping don't worry, be happy, and enjoy he site. When we decided to this it was for ALL of US and for ALL of US to enjoy.
Keep working on getting everyone to update Profile material, and hopfully persuading them to attend the Greatest 20 year Reunion ever

Wow, I haven't even thought about these teachers for a decade at least. You know, I think we had some really great teachers back then. I can only think of one exception, and I won't actually say her name since it still gives me the heebie jeebies ;).

I remember little things, not big things. Was it Mr. Scott who used to wear the same pair of green plaid pants 3 times a week? Nothing wrong with it of course (they looked comfy), but I can see the green plaid in my mind but not the face. Anyone remember if that was him or Mr. Long?

I remember I almost got paddled at Owens once too by Mr. Osborne. Do y'all remember the lunch rule where you couldn't get nachos until you ate your lunch? I got nachos for someone else (a big pushover I was) and got caught. Supposed to be instant paddling. He told me to bend over but I guess I looked so freaked out he couldn't do it. I got lucky and got off with a warning. I think being a nerd helped me out that time =).

What does everybody think about the webpage so far?
I hope everybody is enjoying themselves. The more pics that we can get scanned and have added to the site, the better I think the memories will be. If you have pics but no scanner contact one of us and we will more than glad to help.
I just looked at 1988's webpage. First of all, this is where we got the Idea to create ours. Myra (Mewbourne) Linhoff actually helped us in getting ours started. Anyway I want to commend everybody on helping with our site. Just for info go to thier site and check it out. Then looked at ours. I feel our class is a lot tighter and closer class and with the help of this site we can ALL stay in touch. I understand we all had our clicks in high school, however we are all grown and mature now let's putt he click thing behind us and become that Great CLASS of 1989

Who can remember the reason the Owens Cheerleaders were suspended from a basketball game our 9th grade year? I will give you a hint: It was for doing a certain cheer.
I love the old photos from Owens and West. My mom still has those groovy tinted glasses of mine. She is still asking if I would like to keep them.
Hey girls from the trip to Auburn basketball with Debbie Taylor's family. Do you remember the lady at the motel screaming at us? She screamed "It's 2 o'clock in the morning are you NUTS!!" I can tell I am getting old because I am usually asleep by 10:00!!!
