Oh I agree, pre-reunion = fun! I'll bring Turkish Delight and Raki (I don't like it, but it needs to be tried =).

anybody remember the 6th grade at Owens in the ancient building that had the real wood floors and no A/C. We had Dianna Jackson. She broke her arm skateboarding with Bridgette that year. We had an oscillating (sp?) floor fan to keep us cool. My how times have changed!

Also remember in the 9th grade I think we really stepped up in this world and got a 4th tv channel -- 54. We were all thrilled. Michael Jackson and Jessica Ramsey could really do that Thriller dance, couldn't they?

Anybody remember Mrs. Hagood being hooked on the tv show Dynasty and talking about the huzzies?

Mr. Osborn yelling "How sweet it is" on the rides back home from football games after we won. We were awesome!

Also in 6th grade in the locker rooms in the gym we would store our stuff in these wire baskets and then put a combination lock on. Anybody remember this???? When Kenny Ostrom went on the field trip to Davey Crockett and went swimming in the creek.... Cindy McClendon, what did you see when he came out?

Owens graduation song: Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love of All"-- (we all cried like babies)
WLHS graduation song: "Freebird"-- (nobody cried- we were too cool!)

WLHS class day- our gift to the juniors-- a refrigerator box full of newspapers 'cause they'd need them for all the current events for Miss Raby

for the record, Brad...

I didn't "tell on you." I just thought the Brumitt rap was good enough to show off to everyone. Unfortunately, the teacher didn't find it funny. My bad! I thought it was hilarious with ya'll a spittin' and a rhymin'.

We do have playstaion 3, Wii, and a x box... (if they are old enough to play with these, they are more than welcome!!!) Just let me know..

Can we bring our pets, and will you clean up after them? Can you give more info on the get together. Is it family ? Adults, both, Toga Party? etc.

Michael's car was a 1976 pale banana colored Monte Carlo. The doors were so heavy I had to swing it away from me first and then try to close it. I loved how it drove and the blinker made this loud clink, clink sound. I would turn the blinker on about 2,000 feet from the intersection just to hear that old car's blinker. Hilarious! Silly teenage girls... Those were the good old days. btw I still kid him that I married him because of that cool car he drove!

anybody else have any fond memories of your first set of wheels? Yogi, I don't think that little chevette lasted long for you, did it? LCounty basketball tournament at AHS totaled, was it????

03/01/09 10:34 PM #171

Jessica Ramsey (Scott)

First car was candy apple red vette....chevette! Had a killer spark-o-matic tape player that sounded like music in a bucket (yes Lisa, Def Leppard in a bucket)...had to go 70mph just to get up Gypsy Hill so I wouldn't get run over getting home everyday from school. Poor thing broke a fan belt & dad went to get it fixed...came back a white 1989 Camaro RS with T-tops...Lisa, why wouldn't you come out of your house to see my new car?hahahehe

We just talked about getting together (which is you, your spouse, and your kids:::if you need to bring kids) Why not.. We thought it would be fun to get together.. Maybe by then we'll have some money turned in and can talk about decorations, door prizes, etc... And yes, I finally got one check...(Charlie and Patti Reeves!!!) So far!!!

Jessica and Lisa and Debbie do you remember us going to play put- put at Fantasia in Huntsville? I got pictures somewhere. We were posing "trying" to look sexy haha and the only thing I remember about Mrs.Jackson in the old building was she gave Me a zero 'cause Karla Barnett was cheating off of me and she said I was letting her.I was soo mad at both of them.

I was scared to death of Mrs.Maddox.

03/02/09 09:11 PM #179

David King

I was not scared of Mrs Mattox I was her pet (although I did Stay in Trouble a lot) and I liked her. Does anybody remember the note I threw while she was looking, that was full of torn up little pieces of paper, and read "I hope you have fun cleaning this up" I sat behind Kandye and threw the note to Brian Y
