Deborah Sue Curnes was born on August 6, 1960 in Des Moines, IA. Deb passed away on May 16, 2013 in her home in Yuma, AZ where she had resided for over ten years. Deb was preceded in death by her Grandparents Blanche and James Roush and Bessie and Harley Curnes. She is survived by her Mother, Janet Roush, and her Father, Wayne Curnes (wife Kathy Curnes), her brother Terry Curnes with his wife Mary Miller Curnes and their children Terra Palmquist (husband Ryan with their son Breckin) and Tyler Curnes and her sister Michele Nowak with her husband Kevin and their son Cory Doss (wife Tracey and their daughters Vivienne & Gabriella). Deb is also survived by her half-siblings; Jerry Curnes and his sons Justin and Ethan, Sharrie Steele and husband Mark, and Carrie Curnes.
Deb attended Southeast Warren High School. She was an avid reader and a lover of all animals. She had an adventuresome soul and loved to travel.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held for her in Winterset, IA on June 2. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation of goods or money to a nearby animal shelter in memory of Deb.
