Mary Redmond

I have been working teaching pre-school children in an early childhood setting since 1970. I worked for Head Start as a teacher from 1976 until 2001. From there I went to the Maplewoods YMCA as a teacher in their 4 year old classroom where I worked until 2004. I left there and now I am back home where I totally enjoy teaching in the PreK classroom preparing the children to be physically and developmentally ready for kindergarten. When I am with children, this is where I find joy knowing that I am making a difference in their lives! I believe that teaching is my calling!

I have a lot of fond memories of my years in High School, but one of my favorites was when Ricky Elliott and Stanley Savage(my cousin- now deceased) would come up to you and nub you on the head and say"two dobs". Anytime you saw either of them, you could expect to get "TWO DOBS".
