Don passed away on 20 June 2000. I wasnt able to fine an obit with details but, possibly better (at least this is the kind of thing I would want on my In Memory LHS68 classmate entry), I did find an LHS graduating senior scholarship in his name. Here is the text for the scholarship:
Donald R. Brunstrum Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: 3/20/2013
Award: $2,000
This scholarship is offered by the family of Donald Brunstrum to an outstanding LHS graduating senior who is involved in sports. GPA 3.75 or above. Copy of transcript required. Download application from Naviance. Return application to the CRC by the deadline.

Rich Aishton
Called Donnie on his birthday (October 4th) for quite some time after leaving HS and University. He was a good friend and we did many stupid things - and had fun doing them. He was a teammate on the CC team and on Local Roofing Softball Team. Great student/athlete and am happy to see that his family is helping keep his spirit alive. People come and go, friends never die. See you on the other side sometime buck, keep a cold one ready. Rich
