Heather Cameron Majestic

After graduation I went to the University of Notre Dame on a Navy ROTC scholarship. After 4 years of school and traing I was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Navy. I served 6 years as a Supply Corps Officer in Alaska, on an aircraft carrier out of Norfolk, VA and at a SEAL Team out of Virginia Beach, VA. After that I went to Michigan State to get my MBA and upon graduation joined the Supply Chain Management dept. of Steelcase, Inc., an office furniture mfg. co. in Grand Rapids, MI. I met my husband Dave a few years earlier at the wedding of my college roommate (he was a cousin of the groom) and got married in 2001. Nicholas was born soon after and I went part time, working 3 full days a week. We built a new house about 2 miles away from our old one, moved in and then Abby was born. My hobbies include singing in our church choir and teaching 6th grade catechism, watching ND football, watching Packer football (my husband is a huge fan) plus most other sports, reading books, walking for exercise, cooking, and watching my kids grow up.

I have a lot of great memories from school (band, lots of friends, Marty Gessner burning his eyebrows in Chemistry class) but the thing I noticed most when I pulled out my old yearbook to look at our class was...everyone was so down to earth and things seemed so less complicated than they do now for high schoolers. I'm glad our time was in a more innocent age as I think about my own kids and what challenges they'll be facing as they grow.
