January 4, 1955 - February 1, 2023 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen (Berka) Lind-Olson (Lincoln,Nebraska), born in Wayne, Nebraska who passed away February 1, 2023, at the age of 68. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7th 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Roper & Sons Midtown Chapel (4300 O St., Lincoln, Nebraska 68510). A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 8th 2023 at 11:00AM at the First Lutheran Church (1551 S. 70th St., Lincoln, Nebraska 68506). Memorials may be given to the First Lutheran Church or National MS Society.

Karen and I went to the same church for the past 30 years. She remained so involved in everything for as long as she possibly could. And even when life became much more difficult, with the help of her devoted husband, Doug, they were there with smiles on Sunday mornings. She was a bright light to so many in her presence. I remember her stellar performance in the lead role of The King & I our junior year. I like to think of her singing and dancing in heaven now.

Even though I didn't know Karen very well in high school, I admired her positive attitude as an adult in her fight with MS. It helped to know that she was blessed with the support of a loving husband and family. And now she is pain free and at peace. Sincere condolences to her family. 💕
