I first met Tom our sophomore year at Northeast when we played Intramural Flag football together. He was our scrawny Quarterback that led us to the City Championship.
Even though I don’t recall ever having a class with Stove other than P.E., his jock reputation didn’t keep him from saying Hi when we saw each other in the halls or out of school. He was a genuinely nice guy.
These last couple of years, I’ve had a good time talking and joking with Stove when we occasionally got together at MISTY’s along with other former ’73 Rocket classmates. I was impressed that Stove shared his sense of humor each time we talked.
I met Tom at. Mickle Jr High. I was always impressed with how nice he was to everyone. There was something about him that caused me to feel as if he was more like a brother than just a regular classmate. Even though I didn’t always hang out with the same people all of the time through the years that remained, my fondness toward him never changed. I have no doubt that he had this effect on many of his peers.
Tom, your many brothers and sisters will really miss you.

He truly was, “the Legend”
