Julee Paulette Clark (Lowe)

Julee Clark graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Art Education.   She met Charlie Lowe LHS ’63 at Towne Club at the University.  In the early years of their marriage she taught in Hawaii while Charlie was at sea as a US Naval officer.  The Lowes had a lovely and talented daughter, Becky.  Their daughter is a soprano with Opera Omaha.  Becky gave her parents two precious grandsons.
Julee found her calling as a stained glass artist by agreeing to teach a class in stained glass.  She learned, taught and mastered the art.  Her work is found in Churches throughout the State of Nebraska and in private homes throughout the United States.  Her work with LSE Art Club, a tile mosaic of the school crest, is in the media center more than half a century later.
Julee was a cancer patient for the last two decades of her life.  The first and last year of her cancer diagnosis were difficult.  The years of remission were her most prolific as an artist.  The picture above was taken in her Burkholder project studio two months before her death.  This commission was for a Catholic hospital.  The window is St. Mary and the Rosary.
