I am forever indebted to Lincoln University for the education I received there, not just book knowledge, but in the lessons of life. I arrived as a teenager from DC and left, three years later, a college educated woman. I left Lincoln having met life-long friends, including the two godmothers of the two children I would bring into the world and nurture. After briefly working as an auditor for the federal government, I moved to Madison, WI where I completed my MBA and studied to become the first African American female of earn a Ph.D. in Industrial Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I returned to DC to begin what would become my life's work as a college professor/administrator, management consultant, trainer, and motivational speaker. I was the first African American female to earn tenure and serve as Chair of the Department of Management of the School of Business at Howard University. Hail, Hail to Lincoln for its contribution to my life's journey.
