Well let's see..I married Darren in December 1989 and moved to Fort Polk, Louisiana. I graduated from TJC that following summer while Darren was deployed. Then I went to Northwestern State University and graduated with my BA in Psychology in 1993. Jarrod was born November 1992 while in the middle of final exams--THANKS JARROD! Then we moved to Fort Hood, Texas and we were there until Darren went to Korea for a year without us in 1996. We returned to Fort Hood in 1998 and were restationed in Germany in Jan. 2001. Darren deployed to Kuwait in the summer of 2002 and returned from Iraq in July 2003. I finshed my Masters degree in HR in May 2003. I became pregnant with Broden in July 2003
ok people...here's the thing...I'm finding it a bit disturbing how much everyone actually remembers about me! Ya know...ya'll remember things that I have forgotten..like the NODOZE thing at band camp...oh dear...band camp...now THERE is a story rich environment if ever there was one! And the "ROCK WEST" episode...you girls know you ALL WANTED TO KNOW but I was the ONLY ONE WHO WOULD ASK!
Funny thing about me is that my best memories seem to be of junior high and not necessarily high school. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the dances we used to have at the community center in Lindale and in Mt. Sylvan. The parties at my house (and I have pictures I'm bringing to the reunion that you just won't believe). Wearing parachute pants (God help us) and Swatch watches all up and down my arm (I still have some). 8th grade graduation was just THE BEST memory EVER because we wore dresses that made Mr. Praytor furious! I still have that dress too.
But dress up days in high school when we all had Crayola costumes to wear (I have that picture somewhere too I'm sure)
Secret pals for the football team and putting stuff in their lockers on game day.
The bus rides to and from the football games (no need to mention any particulars about why those were so much fun because Mr. Almany might actually take a look at this...hehe)
Getting cars....MY TRUCK!! Amy driving the Suburban!!
Hating Mrs. Knighton..yes I said it...I know it's ugly...but it's the ugly truth!
HOMECOMING and PROM!! oh goodness...it just goes on and on for me....but that's EXACTLY why I'm SO excited about this reunion. I truly love you people...I always have and I always will....who's going to "slow dance" with me??
