Randy took our kids to Ethel's when they were little. His mom used to keep them until I got off work. He worked the evening shift so they would go to Ethel's first and then to his mom's. They still talk about it. Randy and the kids miss it.

I know i'm still 27, but a cruise in '10 would be fun. I'll cruise with all you 50 year olds. (HA! HA!) I can't wait to see everyone it was so much fun and so many emotions. There were so many people I really hoped would have been there. Karin, we missed you. Hope to see you at the next one. There was so little time and so many people to try to visit with. Hey Rebecca i'm also going to Memphis soon, let's go at the same time. Everyone let's keep in touch.

Anyone remember going to see "The Light On Woodson Lateral Road"

that scared the heck out of me

what were we thinking?????

alone on a dark shady road in the middle of pure woods

we could have been abducted by inbred hillbillies

I look back at sitting out there in the dark and think "My momma should have raised me better!"

and of course no one had a cell phone in case it got freaky

Karin did you ever see the light??

Dana Cobb (Beggs)

Hey I was sure I saw the light chasing us on Woodsen Lateral.....but of course I was screaming and hiding my face in the back seat of "somebody's" car.....I probably was just imagining it!! Dang that was fun though!!

Has everyone viewed all our reunion photos on Snapfish.com? You can view a slideshow and order any you want, just log in like you have an existing account McClellan@yahoo.com with the password Lions78. (this is actually our photographer's account, but you can put in your own credit card info and shipping address to order, just expect them to arrive at your house in the name of Cally Short, our photographer) Be Sure and go back and "edit your account" and remove all your info so the next person doesn't accidentally charge photos to YOU!!
Check 'em all out you will be glad you did! Especially those of you that could not come to the events! See how we have all aged so gracefully....yea, right!!

Oh yes I remember the light on Woodson Lateral. Went there with Randy, Mike Lewis and his girlfriend, now wife, Carol Crawford. And yes we say the light. Scared the pee-waddling out of me!! You can ask Randy. It actually chased me back to the car. What a fun memory. I have told my kids about it but they don't believe me of course. I will have to let them read these messages so they will know I wasn't the only one.

Jack asked a GOOD question. Going on a sea cruise when everybodies turning fifty? Not bad Jack. I say ALL the gals at the Snapfish site showing the group picture looked VUDABAH!!! We are not the "That 70's Show' anymore. But... What a buncha dolls?!
I came to MHS mid freshman year from a another school in Missouri that had NO style cross the board. MHS folx had style. That struck me in the first couple of days in early 1976. Must be a cultural thing. You still do.
And having been in an office with many co-workers turning 50? ugh.... Get together on the boat and have fun. Drink lotsa bubbley - don't fall overboard. And above all act like a bunch of stupid teenagers....again.

Alan Lowe, class of 1971, has just published a new book:
"The Ghosts of Little Rock: Tales of the City's Most Haunted Places"

One of the included locations is Woodson Lateral Road & I know ya'll all have been there!

If you're interested, they are available on Amazon.com or
thespiritseekers.org

I think it's great - but I may be a bit biased, since I'm married to the author.

Have a Wonderful Christmas & the Happiest New Year Ever!

It was March 1978 at the corner gas station at Geyer Springs and Baseline Rd. Taking Henry Ford to pick up his VW Bug I am filling my 67' GTO with the 400 V8 engine. "80 cents a gallon?! These Arabs are killin' me." I lament. Henry just drawled, "Maaayn, Ya gottah hungery baby lyke this'uns gonna gobble lottah Gerber outtah thayt gas pump."
Well hard times now they maybe but I paid $1.29 at the Valero up here in KC on Truman RD. 30 years later and only .49 cents more? Hmmmm that's not bad ratio (time/price) at all. I hope the prices for you in LRA are as good too. And I hope it stays that low for a while!!!!!

I was watching this Youtube video and got nostagic for all you beautiful ladies of MHS. The ABBA Gals put me in mind of you.
