Comments:

I've been married for 23 years. I met my sweet husband at church when visiting my grandparents in Mammoth Spring, AR. I am the proud mom of a 70 pound, 18 month-old Akita named Rebel who we adopted from the Humane Society in Greenwood MS. I graduated high school weighing 110 pounds, and had gotten up to 215 pounds 2 1/2 years ago and decided that, before I did start having health problems, I needed to make some changes. I joined Weight Watchers and started exercising. It took me a year to lose 69 pounds, and I'd still like to lose another 15, but I've kept that weight off for 1 1/2 years and I feel so much better! I really enjoy swimming laps, hula-hooping, Super Abs class, and Zumba now. Yes, I do realize that means I'm one sick puppy. I love Christmas decorations, mostly vintage, and have 2 aluminum trees, one is green and silver, something I had never seen before. My husband says I need to join Kris Kringle Anonymous and get help for my addiction. Yeah, he's cute. We're both involved with the local ring of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. It's a fun group and we get to see and participate in a lot of good magic. Unless they throw me out or close down around me I plan on staying at Blue Cross until I retire. And I can't really think of anything else, except that I'm still a child at heart so I still like to color. I'm pretty good too, I stay inside the lines most of the time.

School Story:

I remember Austin Porter falling off the back of the risers during a choir concert and then just calmly walking back around and going back up from the front. I also remember him singing Sweet Little Jesus Boy a capella with that perfect pitch. I took driver's ed from Coach Pitts, and ran over 3 traffic cones trying to back into a parking space during the test. Ok, but do you remember how he used to race around on Geyer Springs and Baseline Road himself? And I remember when Mike Shoptaw and I broke up we got tired of everyone asking why. So we were waiting for the bus together since we did ride the same one and we were friends, and someone else asked, and I didn't know how he would react, but I said "I found out he's married" and he played right along with me and for a few days that person, along with whoever else she told, believed it. We thought it was funny. And I remember some poor girl running after the bus one morning and we were all yelling at Mr Willis to let him know, and he said "Well, she didn't give any indication she wanted to ride the bus." No, I'm sure her parents had tried to break her from chasing traffic for years. And I remember being so lost around campus at first, I had so much trouble getting turned around and I couldn't figure out which courtyard I wanted to see to get where I wanted to go. And I remember Open Lunch; eating at Taco Bell a lot, Ruth Brummett and her extra ketchup wherever we got fries, and Frito pies at Sonic. And, finally, watching my red and clear, wooden high-heeled Candies steam up.
