In Memory

Chris Cole

It is with great sadness that we share that another of our classmates, Chris Cole, has passed away.

Christopher Alan Cole, 50, was born on December 11, 1962, and passed away on January 6, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs . Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Noie and Shirley Jeffries. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Kathryn and Joe Walker of Little Rock , and his father Bill Cole of Florida , as well as by two brothers, Troy Cole (Teddi) of Little Rock and David Cole of Hot Springs . He is also survived by two step brothers and a step sister Doak Walker and Duke Walker and Shea Walker Siler (Randy) of Little Rock .

Chris was a 1981 graduate of McClellan High School in Little Rock and attended UALR. He move to Hot Springs in 1996 and was employed with Oaklawn Race Track.

A special thanks to the staff of Arkansas Hospice at Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Please keep the Cole and Walker family in your prayers.  I know that they are appreciated.

Chris had such a kind, gentle and sensitive soul.  He used to make me laugh until my sides hurt.  He will surely be missed by Coach and Kathy and the entire Cole and Walker families.  Enjoy Heaven, my friend.  I will see you there!

It is with a heavy heart I have learned of Chris' passing. Having known him since at least 5th grade the memories come flooding back.  He's the first of our ole wrecking crew to pass away and drives home the thought we are all here but for a fleeting moment in time. He went his own way in life and made his own mark. He and his spirit will be missed.

Prayers for him and his family.
