Keith Alan Lewellen, 47, of Mabelvale died Monday, July 20, 2009.  


He was born Nov. 16, 1961, to Jim and Ruth Lewellen in Marshall, Texas.  
He was a member of West Ark and Mid State riding associations. He was the founder and owner of Our Kids Furniture World in Benton and spent many years in retail furniture sales. He was most recently employed with Cost Plus Furniture Warehouse in Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Francis Lewellen and Lathon and Mary Waits.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Ruth Lewellen; a son, Cory Alan Lewellen; a sister, Terri Singleton; two brothers, Jimmy Lewellen and Steve Lewellen and wife Barbara; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
Celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home of Bryant. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Family comments: Mr. Lewellen enjoyed riding horses and teaching children how to ride. His most precious memories were spending time with his family and attending horse shows. He also is survived by his life companion, Darla Lewellen Brooks, and a host of special friends who all loved him and will miss him greatly.

 Keith Lewellen, 

An absolutely Great person, Keith was taken from us without much warning, He was my oldest Son's Uncle and the Great Uncle to my Grandchildren which he loved with all his heart. He spent some time with them  just shortly before his Death, they loved him and will remember him for their lifetime. as well as I.
