I did not know Ava when I was in school (or don't remember her) but I met her several years later in 1994 when I began working at the VA hospital as a secretary while going through nursing school. We discovered that we had gone to school together & became good work friends. She taught me everything I needed to know about my job. She had moved to another department when I found out that she had passed away. We were all very sad to hear of her departing. She was a very kind person & fun to be around. She is greatly missed.
She was a great person we were great friends in high school but after high school we didn't see each other except like in wal-mart but I knew I hadn't seen her in a long time but I had no Idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!that she had passed. If anyone knows what happen would you please let me know with a message on my profile page please. She has truly been missed......rip my friend.....
She was my best friend in 10th grade and a little beyond. We met in Mr. Thompson's English class. She, Susan Smith and I worked on a classroom play about Julius Ceasar and another one too. Mr. Thompson, who was hard to like, really like it and asked us to put it on for all his classes that day. At lunch he came up to all of us and said "You are my kind of people". I will never forget it. It was funny.
She came to my wedding in 1984 and I saw her two other times after that. Once was a happenstance at a craft show in Maumelle I was participating in.
I had been looking for her for a while but couldn't find her. When I joined Facebook I was still seeking her and a mutual friend told me she had passed away. I contacted Michelle Ellis who lived next door to her parents and she told me she had passed away about 5 years prior. That was in 2009. I have a few details of that, e-mail me if you want to know more.
I was very sad to hear this. I did not have time to mourn her death. I think of her often as we had MANY good laughs together. She was the smartest person I knew and a great friend. She also loved the Lord.
