Bendi L. Darnell (Toland) We really never go anywhere unless it is to do with our kids activities!!! My quiet life in Bentonville went south when the ice storm hit. That almost made me crazy for a week so I was thrilled to get out and see people :) Back to normal now!

Last Saturday night there was some discussion about a group trip to Oaklawn. Bendi (Darnell) Toland and Karen (Davis) Hagel are planning to come down. We will meet Brena (Waldrop) Bush in Hot Springs.

We need some feedback to know how many to plan for.

Hey Lions! Wow! Didn't know you could roar so loud.

It's taken me almost a week to recover from last Saturday night. But as they say, "to much fun, there's no such thang."

It was so great to get together with everyone again. I've been a little down lately and you guys sure know how to make this girl laugh.

To those who did not attend you missed a great time of fun with friends.

Kevin Bagby, it was great to see you and get caught up!

Hey, John Bowen actually had his eyes open in one picture. I still can't get over y'all going to Electric Cowboy! I'm sure it was a blast. Love seeing all the pictures. It really was fun and I was only there for a couple of hours (hey, I was out of the house...that doesn't happen often these days!) Looking forward to the next LNO event.

Lisa, congratulations on being a grandma-to-be!

Hey Gang...

Looks like we have a plan for February 21, 2009. The first race starts at 1:00 p.m., so we will meet in the large area just inside the main gate between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m.. (The entrance across the street from Rocky's Corner, NOT the casino entrance). We will see Brena (Waldrop) Bush at Oaklawn.

If you want to carpool, please email ASAP and we'll try to hook up all those wishing to share rides. Karen (Davis) Hagel is one of the carpool volunteers. We strongly suggest that you have the phone number of someone else attending programmed in your phone in case you get separated, lost or are late. We will leave the front gate area at 12:30 p.m. so we can find our seats and place a wager on the first race.

After the races, we will go to Grumpy's on Green Mountain Drive in Little Rock. The Hogs are playing South Carolina that evening at 6:00 p.m.. Some people will go early to watch the game, and the stragglers from the races will probably be there by 7:30 p.m.. Feel free to arrive any time between 6:00-8:00 p.m..

Email if you have any questions, and don't forget to invite someone who hasn't come out with us yet!!

Join me in wishing Dorothy (Dee Dee) Harris all our hearts and prayers ....

Her brother,48 yr old Raymond (Cowboy) Blackmon passed away this weekend....I have been told by a member of the family that he suffered a major heart attack while working at Bogarts Night Club in Hot Springs Friday night.....I have been a life long friend of his and tell you all he will be missed....

Ride Safe my friend...your memories will forever remain in our hearts and minds...

Most of us lost money yesterday, but good news for April Hoyle since she won big at the last race. I have not been to Oaklawn in years, so I enjoyed myself. It was very entertaining to say the least!

Dana Smith, Teresa White, April Hoyle, Kim Mordecai, Ned Alley, Vicki (Winchell) & Bart Burgess, Melanie (Moore) & Randy Hassen, and Paul Schaefer (my husband) & I were in attendance at Oaklawn.

Better luck next time for all of us!

2/21/09 LNO at Grumpy's Report:
It was not too crowded at Grumpy's last night, so we really had room to kick back and relax. (Especially for those who went to Oaklawn.)

Kim Mordecai, Gina Martin, April Hoyle, Teresa White, Dana Smith, Melanie Moore, Karen Davis, Steve Poteet, Wade Ledbetter, Ricky Marshall, David & Lisa Ballou, and I were "kicking it" at Grumpy's. I "drunk dialed" several classmates and even got Stan Ferguson to show up! Tom Draper (Class of '82) was at our LNO, too.

A few of us went to Electric Cowboy again. We met up with Kevin Bagby and Richard Piggott (Class of '84) there. I did not stay out as late as last month! LOL! I hate to admit this, but I'm not as young as I used to be!

We still had a great time last night! See you next month!
