My testimony of God's goodness:
I spent many years believing I was a Christian because I walked an isle and said a prayer. My life did not change though. Scripture is clear that your "want to's" will change after you are saved by the blood of Christ. Salvation isn't just something you do, it is who you are. Believing in Jesus equals obedience to His commands, not a 'have to" but a "want to"! I now know that I am saved because my "want to's" have change. I truly desire to please Him! Of course we aren't perfect and will fail daily. This should lead to daily repentance of our failures and a continued striving toward obedience.
