Joined the Navy after H.S.Spent my 4yrs on the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower with "A" school in Millington,TN for aviation ordnance. Served in the Lebanon conflict with the Multinational Peace Keeping Forces that made me elegible for the VFW (Veterans Of Foreign Wars)which I am a life member. After discharge from the Navy I moved back to Little Rock for 1yr where I got into the electrical trade with Fleming elec. Moved to Tampa 1988 for a job building the Tampa Performing Arts Center as an electrician. Spent 3 yrs going to Tampa Tech Evening School for Industrial Electronics and Data systems.Worked doing electrical and data for Brinkers(Chili's; Macironi Grill; ect.) and Pizza Hut installing Point Of Sale systems on the east coast and service work for Chili's and Pizza hut for the state of Florida.
Married a wonderful woman Janice Sudillo from Syracuse, NY. and was married 12yr before her untimely death undergoing surgery for a lump on her lung. She had 2 children Lori and Joey that live in Syracuse. We both moved to Little Rock in '97 for 18 months where I went to work for Fleming Electronics doing electronic service. Janice, being a "blond yankee" didn't have the same luck finding work, after 8months she went to work for a great company,Riverside Energy, but the damage had been done financally and when a Tornado missed use by about 1/4 of a mile Jan 1999, we headed back to FL. where we both went back to work at our old jobs, got back on our feet and bought a 1923 Bungalow 1 mile north of downtown Tampa that we started restoring. It took some time to get over her lose but I was blessed with being introduced to another wonderful woman Sharon Floyd and we will be celebrating our 2nd anniversery in may, she is with Verizon and has been for 28yrs, born and raised in Tampa. She has 2 girls, Shauna 28, and Mary 18. I have since taken a job with a heat treating company that I did service work for. We heat treat for the Aerospace Industry and my job is to keep EVERYTHING running smoothly.
One of the things about living in Tampa is the profesional sports teams we have here that we didn't have in Arkansas (I still love them HOGS) We went through hell for a few years then the Bucs won us a FREAKIN SUPERBOWL. If you have never lived in a city that had a pro team win it's championship it is an experience that is indescribable, everybody in the city comes together as one and you just wish it could stay that way because everyone is so cheerful and everyone puts their differences behind them. It was the same with the Lightning winning the Stanely Cup in hockey (yes I learned how to follow hockey) Now we are waiting for the Rays (MLB) to get their act together.
Other than working on the house we spend a lot of our time riding with our gang from the VFW, Sharon and I have a 2000 Dyna Glide Super Glide, so I guess you could say I've become somewhat of a Biker, alot different than the insecure kid back in school. Well thats about it from sunny Florida. Hope to hear from the CLASS OF 83.
I failed to mention that Sharon and I had a double wedding with her dad, now how often do you hear about that. Plus her dad being a retired major with the Tampa Police Dept. He also lost his wife to cancer, but met another wonderful woman a few years later. The wedding was one of the most awesome times of my life, and Butch n Shane, I thank you so much for being there.
