hey guys,
novel, i would have but i don't think i knew you well enough! not that i wouldn't have wanted to :O) it will be fun to watch ya'll play football. we'll have plenty of nurses on hand for injuries! lol. hope today finds everyone well and excited. if anyone has phone numbers for classmates and doesn't have time to make calls, if you want to shoot me a message, i'll be glad to make calls. i'm in indiana and haven't been to little rock in 17 years so i'm not sure what has happened to everyone. let me know what ya'll need. looking forward to the reunion. have a great day.

Good Morning all,

The Assistant Principal David Bernard will be loaning us some stuff to display at the reunion (football helmets and jerseys). Thank you very much! Also ~ they still have the band throws for sale for $25 ea. I will try and post the pic on my profile for you all to see. I know it is posted in the yahoo group but sorry to say I have not kept up with the yahoo group in the last few weeks.

Give me a holler TODAY if you want a t-shirt.

Wendy I have some names for you to call if you want. Anyone got any ideas for getting the word out more.......newspaper ad? radio ad?

If you all want to do something like that we will have to pitch in to pay for it but it might pay off! Let me know ASAP! Jen

Laura Mathews (Henry) Just an FYI for those of you in Little Rock and surrounding areas. Today there is a KIDZ RAP event from 11:30 - 1pm at the First Presbyterian Church in LR (on 8th and Scott). This event is serving pizza and cupcakes to the homeless. Kidz Rap is a ministry that provides hands on service opportunities for children and their parents. Have a great day!!!

I just got an email from David Bernard (Assistant Principal at MHS) and he sent me all the artwork they use at the school. Have you guys seen the new logos???

I will attempt to post them here.

Where is everyone? Wakie wakie!!!! No storms here today thank goodness. Trying to figure out the best way to shout across the entire state about the reunion.

I want you all to know that we are very aware that we have not reached everyone. We have all tried our best but we are limited by distance and funds and just everyday busy life!

If there is any classmate that you know of that does not know about the reunion. Let them know. If not tell me and I am going to physically call all the radio stations and try to get something else done.

If anyone local hears an announcement or PSA then let me know ASAP so I can follow up. Jen

I have just spoken with the McClellan Alumni Association publicity director and he says "we can do whatever you want" to get the word out!!

I am soooooo happy. Now we certainly will reach those classmates that are not online or that have not heard anything.

Everyone cross their fingers and be listening to TV and Radio and glance at the paper. If you see something let me know. And please save any newspaper ads that we may get to run. Talk with you later! Jen

Jackie and any others ~ there were only 2 classmates (Michael and Sherry McBride) that let me know they would not be attending due to the resigning of the previous reunion organizer. Please have any and all classmates that have expressed this to you contact me ASAP so that I can get their contact info and send them a memory book etc.

Steve, It was really good to hear from you too. Hay, nice bike. I ride a sports bike all the time myself. Mr. Ford was great and I think everyone knew about his sweet tooth, but you and Tray abused it.

Wendy, you should have done it anyways, it would have knocked some sense into my brains. Wait a minute, I didn't say anything about playing football, just looking for my buddies. Are you kidding, with the bad back, knees and shoulders, you need some doctors on hand too. LOL.

FOR ALL THE LION CUBS OUT THERE!

Please have your kiddos draw a McClellan Lion for me. Doesn't matter if it is a lion or a lioness. When they have finished please scan the picture and send to me to be included as art on the DVD. Include their name, their mommy or daddy's name (including maiden name) and their age.

Jen - Just wanted to let you know you can call off the dogs - I have surfaced and filled out the profile as instructed. (I was almost afraid not to after having "been last seen in LR" as recently reported - I know what the animals on Wild Kingdom must have felt like...) ;) Dang, girl! After the reunion I'm signing you up with CIA to hunt Bin Laden. :) Seriously, though, thanks for all of your time and effort into hunting us all down. And Steve - WOW! LOVE the website! (I know several of the 87 class members are green with envy!) :) You are all doing a wonderful job with the reunion and I am truly appreciative. I told Terasa last week that I'm supposed to be on a business trip to Atlanta (which is why I didn't think I could attend), but if I'm in town I will try to make it to one of the "open night" after-party parties. :) Thanks again for keeping this whole thing afloat - you, Steve, and everyone working behind the scenes! Great job!

i don't know any docs in little rock. and i'm a cardiac nurse...i can only help if someone goes in respiratory failure or cardiac arrest. any ortho nurses out there? hahaha. wasn't it suppose to be cool for a guy to have a mustache in high school? maybe that's why nobody ever said anything...oh well, too late to change now..we have pictures! have a great weekend.

I did talk to Trozie Jordan when I first found out about the reunion. The dates at the time was different. At the time he did plan on coming but since the dates changed he wasn't able to make it. He lives in Cali. Rodney is still in Little Rock, I talked to him also but again it was different dates. I don't think he plans on attending either. I have talked to several classmates that planned on attending but with the dates changing they are not able to attend. I talked to Sue Davenport and Yolanda Southall. I did have Reginald Marshall number but it has changed. I am not sure if he is aware that the dates changed. I plan on attending Friday night but I am getting skeptical because a lot of my friends that I was looking forward to seeing are not able to attend. Not that I don't want to see other people. I have a couple of weeks to think on it.

have received a box of throws from the band director. The throws will be available for purchase from me anytime from now until after your reunion. My office number is 447-2113. The throws are $25.

Hey, Danya, great to see you finally. We had to sell the Blue Goose...it finally quit on my brother Rick permanently. Some collector guy bought it. I miss that car...it was so cool.

Does anyone know where Nancy Jones is? I want to thank her for her class. She actually inspired me to become an English teacher.

I'll get the contact info for Mrs. Jones for you. I've seen both she and Mrs. Billingsley at the 87 class reunions. Mrs. Jones is busy going to horse shows and Mrs. B still substitutes at Catholic from time to time. Jay and Valera try to have dinner with Mrs. B about once a month - and yes, she still has jet black hair and her sassy Cajun attitude. :) I'll forward you the contact info on Monday.

Sorry to hear about the Blue Goose, but sounds like she found a good home where she'll be appreciated. ;)

being in a case management position and knowing how much time and energy goes into planning an event as small as a discharge, you and jen have done a phenominal job planning everything. it takes dedication and desire to pull this off and you should be commended on everything ya'll have done. hang in there...the party's not that far off. i'm buying your first drink! have a great weekend.
