Donna Wilson Walls

After graduation I planned to attend Hendrix and room with Shelly Morrison, but got a last minute scholarship at OBU. I ended up at OBU instead. (Sorry Shelly, I still feel bad about leaving you!) I roomed with Laurie Lewis at OBU, and when she met Trey we knew he was "the one". We had a lot of fun during college. I met my husband as a freshman. He was attending UT (Tennessee, not Texas) and moved to Arkansas the following summer. We got married in 1992 after graduation. We moved to Oklahoma where I finished dental school and he finished his degree in occupational therapy. Then, to THE Ohio State University for a one year internship in oral & maxillofacial surgery. Finally, we moved to Nashville, TN for my 4 year residency in OMFS. Yes, I finally finished school in 2002! We stayed in Nashville, and I joined a practice here until shortly after my son was born. I got a great offer from the VA hospital in Nashville and have been there since 2005 running the OMFS department, teaching the Vanderbilt residents, and having a great time. So now you all understand why you haven't heard from me!

Lots of great memories. We had a great trip to Europe with our French teacher. Drill team was a lot of fun and I remember all those early morning summer practices standing at attention. It seems like we were always sneaking out on the weekends to "roll houses" in the neighborhood. Learning to drive a 5 speed in Ben's car that had a burned out clutch - that made it easier.
