UA Student Dies in Crash at Springdale

Springdale - Miss Judy Fringer, 22, of 1423 West Thirty-sixth Street, North Little Rock, was killed Wednesday when the car in which she was riding left U. S. Highway 71 about a mile north of Springdale and overturned, State Police said.
Injured in the accident were Michael Clanan, 19, of Rogers, the driver of the car, Richard Land, 23, of Eglin Air Force Base, and Laura Cox, 21, of Fayetteville, the other passengers in the car.
The police said that the accident happened about 12:30 a.m. while the driver was crossing and recrossing the highway at a high rate of speed. The car left the highway and then overturned.
Miss Fringer was a student at the University of Arkansas and was a Baptist.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fringer, and a grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Cummings of Batesville.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Crouch Funeral Chapel at Batesville. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
