Kenneth Roy Gathright, Jr., 70, of Benton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2022.       He was born on October 5, 1952 to Hilda and Kenneth Roy Gathright, Sr. 

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Gathright, Sr. 

He is survived by his mother, Hilda Gathright, his wife of 24 years, Phyllis Gathright; Stepdaughter, Michelle (Clint) Vocque of Paron, Stepson, Greg (Janice) of Dallas, Grandchildren, Keegan Vocque, Benjamin, Caitlin & Ashton Ezell; sister, Terri (Paul) Butler of North Little Rock, Niece, Sarah (Blake) Lewis and Great-niece, Eleanor Lewis of North Little Rock.

Kenny was born and raised in North Little Rock and lived in the central Arkansas area his entire life. He loved fishing for crappie at the Old River Fishing Club, deer hunting, and cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandkids.  He also made sure his grandkids were properly spoiled.     

There will be a small service for immediate family members only. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the UAMS Foundation Fund.
