James Lawrence Rice

James Lawrence Rice was born March 15, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to loving parents Lawrence Rice and Dorothy Lemon. He passed away June 24, 2024 at the age of seventy-two.

James was an extraordinary Husband, Father, and Brother. His kindness, honesty, and work ethic will be remembered by his friends and family.He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School, Class of 1970. He was also a veteran of the USNavy.

James often enjoyed spending time outdoors, including hunting, fishing, working on his motorcycles. He also could be found around his horses as well as skeet shooting.

James is preceded in death by both parents, as well as his beloved wife of forty-nine years Edith Rice, brother Paul Rice, and daughter Jana Rice. Left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter Cassie Platt, sisters Joanne and Ada, grandchildren Khloe, Jacob, James, Asher, Hannah, Kelsey, as well as nephews Mike Rice, Matt Rice, Chris, Andy, Brian and niece Cari.

James leaves behind a life and legacy that will not soon be forgotten. He will be missed dearly by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.
