Steven Eugene Simmons

Steve E. Simmons, age 44, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, November 21, 1996, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survivors are his wife, Pam Marlin Simmons; daughters, Tracey and Jennifer Simmons; parents, Jack and Marilyn Simmons. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. November 23, 1996, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel with the Rev. David Winger officiating. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Steve served as a CPL in the U. S. Marine Corps.

Steve Simmons was a very close friend of mine throughout highschool and we remained good friends after graduation. Steve was always dressed to impress and he loved the pursuit of fine clothing - remember Karmin's Men's Store on Main Street in downtown LR? I vividly recall one day when we were getting dressed to go out -- Steve was looking at his side profile in the mirror while adjusting the height of his pant waist and stated that he wished his belly hung over his belt just a bit. He considered that a highly desirable look. I agree.
