Mary Lou(Young) Priest, 72 of Sherwood, Arkansas entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 6 after a brief illness. She was born on June 8, 1952, to the late Emma and David Young of North Little Rock. She graduated with an amazing class from 1970, North Little Rock High School and she attended the University of Arkansas before embarking on a career of over 40 years with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Mary was married to Charles Priest for 43 years until his passing in 2021.

Mary was an avid Razorback fan, a collector of Gone With The Wind memorabilia, and lover of dachshunds. She had a keen interest in all things regarding the British Royal Family and was greatly involved with planning for numerous high school reunions. No one loved her classmates more than Mary. She was dedicated to her LORD and with much affection supported her church, Immanuel Baptist in Little Rock where she served as a Door Greeter.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Faye Rhoads and two brothers, Dale Pope and Bob Pope. She is survived by a sister, Martha Kuskey (Ken) of San Juan Capo,CA; brother, Tim Young (Barbara) of Hot Springs Village; sister Ruth Ratcliff of Hot Springs Village; brother, David "Corky" Young (Debby) of North Little Rock; a dedicated caregiver, Penny McLain and special friend, Alan Nussbaum.

In lieu of flowers, Mary requested that donations be made to a charity of one's choice. Her deepest desire was that everyone love and care for each other.

There will be a visitation at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 12 followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 7700 AR-107, Sherwood, AR 72120. Private family burial will follow.
