Douglas “Mike” Hocut, 68, of Sherwood passed away Friday, June 14, 2019. He was born February 10, 1951 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Vollie Hocut and Juanita Cox Johnson.

He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. He served in the United States Army and was the Branch Manager for TriState Truck Center in North Little Rock. Mike was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and a hard worker who exceeded at everything. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, and never knew a stranger. He loved his co-workers at TriState as much as they loved him.

Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dianne Montgomery Hocut; children, David Hocut, Susan Hocut (Quincy Bryant), Wendy Backus and Aaron Backus (Rebecca); grandchildren, Noah Phillips, Will Backus, Jr., Henry Backus, Lindy Sell, Natalie Hocut, Travis Hocut, Brooklynn Sullivan, Latavion Bryant, Zoey Bryant and several other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Odell and Ira Hocut.

A memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM, Friday, June 21, 2019, followed by visitation, at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
