Randall Fred Wharton, age 55, of Cabot died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at his home. He was born on October 4, 1951 to Deward (Dude) and Mavis Lee Wharton in Little Rock.
From 1969 to 1972, Randall served in the United States Marine Corp as a military policeman. After the military, Randall was an over the road truck driver and most recently worked for the Cabot Water Department.
Randall was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Bertha Lee and Randolph and Nora Wharton; his mother, Mavis; and his son Joshua Wharton. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Wharton and daughter, Tiffany Wharton of the home; father, Dude Wharton; sister, Theresa Peeler (T.C.) of Cabot; brother, John Zahari and his wife Brenda of Gravel Ridge; Aunt Lucille Lee of Dyess, Arkansas; nephew, David Yielding and his wife Sherry and great nephew, Tristan Yielding of Hinesville, Georgia; nephew and niece, Jarrod and Celia Zahari of Gravel Ridge; six sister-in-laws; and four brother-in-laws. Randall is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Mt. Tabor Methodist Church with Paul Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia. Arrangements are by Moores Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
