Sonya Yvonne "Pookie" Wade

Newport, AR, 1961 - 2015

Sonya Yvonne "Pookie" Wade, age 54, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., passed from this life May 29, 2015. She was a member of the 1979 Central High School graduating class. Formerly employed by Greyhound Bus Company.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, Marion Holloway, daughter, Newport, Margo West, sister, North Little Rock, Ark., Anthony Brown, brother, Sherwood; two aunts, Marion Ruth Moore, Nennie Cooper of Little Rock.

Family hour to be held 4-6 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2015, Tolerson Funeral Home, Newport. Services to be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 a.m., First Baptist Church, 1017 2nd Street, Newport, Ark. She was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Rev. Lewis Justus of Batesville.
