School Story?!
I was mostly a very backward kid who never really fit into High School life very well. I ran X-country and track, and spent a lot of time in Mr. Goodman's woodshop - in other words, I was not exactly the quint essential of cool!
I did have a few close friends, for which I am still very thankful. The closest were Dwight and Doug Newman, also some of the other X-country guys like Joe and Dan.
After High School, College, and getting married to my wonderful wife Denise, I worked for 10 years at Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je in Bailey where I started the Mountain Lab School - an outdoor ed program for mostly private christian schools. In 1990 I finished an MA in Counseling from Denver Seminary and worked at Evergreen Consultants for a couple of years in private practice.
I then moved to the Durango area where I served as the pastor of a small country Church for 10 years. During that time I also served as the Head track coach for Mancos High School and I also started their X-country program. Coaching was a very rewarding experience and we had many very successful seasons.
In 2002 I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand where I pastor an International Church and also run an organization that operates homes for orphans and we are starting schools for Thai kids as well.
