Matriculated at Elizabeth City State University, graduated in 1992 with a BS in Mathematics. Taught at Halifax Community College and Weldon High school prior to relocating to Petersburg, VA in 1995. I began graduate studies at Virginia State University in 1995 and earned a Masters degree in Mathematics in 1997. After graduate school, I began working as a mathematics instructor with the VA Department of Correctional Educationa and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. In 2007, I enrolled at the George Washington University to work on an Ed.S in Educational Leadership and Administration with an anticipated completion date in the fall of 2008. I am single and have one son, Shavonte, who graduated from Hermitage High School on June 6, 2008. He will be attening the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.

My years at Northwest were some of the most memorable times of my life. I just can't believe that 20 years have passed! I can't wait to see everyone from the class of 1988.
