My Story:
After graduation, I attended Humphreys College and San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. I married Marty Lane in 1979 & we divorced in 1990. Met my husband, Steve Barnes, while I was modeling for a local company and we married in 1993. He is from Woodstock, Il, a place that reminds me of Livermore. I started working in public accounting soon after high school, first in clerical then firm administration and IT. Steve had begun his own tax and accounting practice in 1990 and I was able to become self-employed in 1993. He left his controller job and joined me in the practice a few years later. Although we never had children, we are "parents" to many cats. Just call me the crazy cat lady. I look forward each year to our annual vacation to Cancun, Mexico where we join up with the friends we have made there since 1992. We recently purchased a beautiful, custom home (built in 2000) on a couple of acres in Wilton. After a few months remodeling it to make it our own, we moved in on February 1, 2016. Once we have finished unpacking (poor timing to move at the beginning of tax season), we look forward to enjoying this home and entertaining our friends. So now, when not working, I spend my time landscaping and decorating our home, knitting, taking care of the cats and spending time with treasured friends. Oh, and working on the reunion committees.
