I remember well the time we stole the National Anthem/Our Father tape from the school office, and replaced it with our own version, which included a Monty Python sketch, "The Spanish Inquisition" in between the Anthem and the prayer. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! Cardinal Fang, read the charges!
What are your memories of high school (i.e. secret crush, embarrassing moment, funniest thing you did in high school, favorite high school hang out, favorite teachers)?
I remember Mr. Frizzel's physics classes -- perhaps the best teacher I ever encountered. I remember particularly those moments when he became zany -- inviting students to touch the static electricity generator or mixing ultraviolet solutions in the wave pool. I also remember many enjoyable drama productions, endless circuits on the one-way couplet on weekends, late pizzas and coffee at Boston Pizza.
Two high points would have to be my ordination to the priesthood in 1994, and my entrance into the Dominican order. My time in Oxford, and my doctoral degree come a close second to these.
Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?
Still keep in touch with Danny James and Donna Gislason Hawker, as well as Randal and Leahsa Payne from classes that graduated before us. It's difficult to keep in contact with everyone at such a distance and with a rather busy life!
