Phil Stemper and I rode our bikes to school together almost every day somewhere around seventh grade we were kind of a Mutt & Jeff. He died in Vietnam April 1970. If you visit the wall he sure to stop and say hello.
My husband and I have visited the Vietnam Wall three times now, both in DC, and the traveling wall in Virginia and in Rome NY. Visited my cousin who died in Vietnam in Oct 1966. Next time we will certainly honor Phillip also.
Phil and I were in the same homeroom for the 3 years we were at LSHS. Phil served in Nam the same year that I did. I have visited Phil at the Wall in DC as well as the traveling wall. You are missed Phil and I remember the day I found out you died while in Nam. So sad. RIP fellow Nam Vet.
