Vicki Vosburg

I lived life as a single person in Los Angeles, and Houston. I enjoyed working in the corporate world until 1993 I was tired of the humidity in Houston and tired of the corporate world so I moved to Sedona, AZ and did jeep tours for Pink Jeep Tours and I loved it! In Sedona I met and married Dennis Davis and loved life with him. In 1998 we moved to Boise and he took a job flying helicopters fighting fires and being gone all summer. I hated it, but it was his job. I had started my own business called High Desert Herbs and when we moved, I continued and expanded my business and also renamed it to The Herb Pantry. I kept my business in my home for 5 years when I felt my customer following was good enough to go retail in a store front. I have been in a store front for 5 years and business is doing well. I have gone back to school many times for different things, but I did get my Doctorate in Science for Nutrition and I also became a Master Herbalist with 3 different schools, of which one was the International School of Herbs. Currently, I am studying Homeopathy. My husband, Dennis, was killed in a helicopter crash July 23, 2007, so now I am learning how to live as a single person again. I have always done some kind of dancing - teaching, competing and social - so I am involved with a group of ladies that do Egyptian dancing, and I am taking ballroom dancing lessons. I am enjoying it immensely! During the summer I enjoy my time with camping, biking, hiking and kayaking. During the winter my sports are limited to snowshoeing, but I do a lot of it with friends and family. Ongoing is always working out and making sure I stay strong, so I have been doing and teaching Kettle Bells for strength training and I do Pilates for body meditation. I was married for 14 years, so I feel like a lot of what I do now is way out of my box, but I'm liking it and try to look at everything as an adventure and I have been fortunate that I have really liked all that I have been trying. So now on with this new year and the next thing!

I do have one memory that stands out. Craig Gasser and I decided we would get together one morning and drink some beer. We did and drank more than he OR I could handle. BUT we thought that we could maybe walk it off between classes, no problem. I had Wortendyke for home room and when I went to class that morning he told us that we were going to stay in that room all day and do the Senior testing ALL DAY!!! I died right there. Knowing that I would NOT be able to sit in that one chair in that one class all day. I did do what I had to do, but not without Wortendyke walking over to me and busting me with the smell of beer on my breath! I never did find out how Craig did, we didn't talk to each other for quite awhile after that. And I really don't know why we would want to drink beer before school! Obviously my scores for the senior testing got better as the day went on and my head got clearer, but in the morning it was not a fun time! All these years and I don't think I have told anyone except my very close friends, Becky and Cyndi, and they probably have forgotten that I did. I'm sure Craig really appreciates me telling this story, but oh well.
