Nancy Nuernberg Knapp

Went to Allan Hancock College. Met my future husband at the Lompoc Bowling Alley (It's true!) Married in 1973 to SSgt JC Knapp. Vandenberg to RAF Lakenheath back to Vandenberg then Lompoc 1979 to present. Worked in Retail, Executive Secretary, Proposal Development Administrator & Aerospace Materiel Tech. Grandkids started arriving in 2008. I now have 5. Retired at 62, traveled cross country and abroad on and off for three years. In 2018, I began caring for the youngest granddaughter when she was 7 months old. I still watch her two days a week and, at almost 5, I'm her personal monkey bar and gofer. The oldest son is retired from the Army and working at Vandenberg AFB. The youngest son is the Winemaker for Stolpman Vineyards and has his own wine label, Press Gang Cellars. I help as Wine Club Admin. 2021 will mark my 48th wedding anniversary. That's the nutshell so far...

According to my yearbook, I was a very busy athlete. I was told it took 10 years to break the 440 relay record set in March 1968 by: Lundsford, Foreman, Biggs, Nuernberg - 51.5. My 50 Yard Hurdles record, 7.2, from Lompoc/SY Dual Meet April 17, 1967 was never broken before the change to 50 Meter Hurdles.
