James (Patrick Wade) Beighley

Patrick Beighley Patrick Wade Beighley was born April 18, 1948 and died April 15, 2010. Pat was born to Jim and Irene Beighley, growing up in Long Beach, CA. He attended St. Cornelius, St. Anthony and Millikan High School (Class of "66). He loved his high school surf club, Halo Kai and remained a lifetime member. Pat joined the LAPD a nd served 38 years, 26 years as a motorcycle officer. His passion for public service was evident in his "child safety seat check" volunteer work. Pat made the most of this California roots. He always lived close to the beach and exuded "the lifestyle". He spent most summers at Temple Bar Resort in Lake Mead. He loved oldies music like Elvis, the Beach Boys and Huey Lewis, among others, but his favorite band was "Flyer". Pat threw the best Christmas party each year at his home in Naples, just because he love d his friends and family. "Bubble gum shooters" for all. His passion was contributing to other people's fun and giving advice on how to navigate this life. He was a proud and regal man who held fierce passion in his heart. He did not know the word "quit". Patrick is survived by his mother, Irene Hayes; and his loving wife, Alicia; sister, Victoria Snook; daughter, Erica; sons, Nevin and Chris; friends, Clark John, Jack and Patti Hirsch; as well as many other family and friends. His family and friends will m iss Patrick (aka, Honey, Dad and Uncle Pat). We wish him a dignified and peaceful rest.
