Leslie James Prince, Class of 1966. Les was a police officer for the City of Huntington Beach. A drunk driver hit him while he was on duty on 11-16-1974. He died, without regaining consciousness, on December 1, 1974. Left a wife, Lynda, and son, Michael Lawrence Prince.

I think of Leslie on occasion and am reminded of what a tragic loss his death was. He was a good guy, easy going, responsible, etc. I often associate him with his trombone, the bands we were in, but we did other things together. Our lives went separate ways after high school, but I remember being shocked and bummed about his loss. It still resonates.
