Jack Dickson Field

Jack Dickson Field (65) born August 17, 1948 in Pensacola, Florida. He was the second son of Norman and Dorothy Field of Long Beach and brother to Bob (deceased), Don and Bill. After moving to Long Beach, California, Jack attended local schools graduating from Robert A. Millikan High School in 1966. Jack joined the U.S. Navy in 1968 and became a Dental Technician. In February of 1970 married Jan Richardson of Lakewood and together they had three children, Scott (Christine), Carrie (Rich) and Susan (Mike) and six grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Adam, Ryan, Erin and Evalyn. Jack's life spanned many careers from Dental Prosthetics to managing the Medical / Dental Bookstore at UCLA. Jack passed away on September 6, 2013, in Lakewood, California. Jack and I grew up as friends at Parkcrest Christian Church, and played a lot of sandlot baseball and football together. I remember how I took Mom to a Polly's Pies on Artesia, about 95 or so, and ran into Jack and Jan. That was the last time I saw him, but Mom kept me posted with news from his mom Dorothy.
