PATRICK MICHAEL DAUGHERTY

February 8, 1948 – April 23, 2016

Pat was born to William and Dolores Daugherty in Long Beach, CA, and passed away on April 23, 2016, in Littleton, Colorado, his home for the past 10 years. Pat grew up in Long Beach and was a 1966 graduate of Millikan High School. He bravely served his country during the Vietnam War from February 1968 through September 1969. He was a dedicated employee of Ridings/Coast Cadillac for 41 years and worked an additional four years for Cadillac in Colorado, finally retiring in 2011.

Pat was a man of few words with a memorable laugh and a work ethic that never wavered. Whether delivering papers in the Los Altos area as a boy, working as a bus boy at the Golden Lantern, tinkering with a car as a teenager or rebuilding his jukebox or his boyhood Lionel Train, he liked to keep busy.

Pat is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda; daughter Leanna; son Patrick (Karen); stepsons Christopher and Jonathan Cottgias (Jenn); grandchildren Logan and Ethan Daugherty and Riley and Holden Cottgias; mother Dolores; sister Carol Penney (Patrick); nieces Alice Keller and Cathleen Demant; nephew William Penney; and life-long best friend, Ron Starkey. Pat was preceded in death by his father, William.
