Thomas Edward Bonar, Sr., is playing golf in Heaven. Tom passed away the morning of July 27, 2015, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 18, 1958, in Minneapolis, MN. Tom married Hope Anne (Mills) Bonar on September 6, 1986 in Brainerd. The last nine years of his life was spent fulfilling his lifetime goal of being a full time pastor.

Tom enjoyed golfing, preaching, playing with his grandchildren, working around the house, and sharing the love of God with everyone he encountered.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Hope; his children: Thomas, Chris (Bethany) Bonar, Carmen (Marshal) Flynn, and Cassandra (Kyle) Douglas; his grandchildren: Jada, Emily, Edwin, and Lukous; his sister, Carmen (Wayne) Hagstrom; brothers: Allen Layman, William Bonar, and Mark "Sparky" Johnson; and his beloved dog, Bubba.
