
Peter Michael Wimsatt Jr. age 57, of Mound, passed away February 17, 2016. Preceded in death by his mother, Sally Ann Wimsatt (O'Gara), Peter (Pete) was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in Mound and Orono Minnesota, graduating from Orono High School and Mankato State University. Pete worked for many years at Super America, and on September 26th, 1998 married Karen Warzecha of Glencoe, MN. Pete and Karen lived with their dog, Cisco, in Mound. Pete is survived by his wife Karen, father Pete Sr., of Dubuque Iowa, brothers Dan (fiancée Kathy Davidson) of Indian Wells, CA, and Steve (Sandy) of Encinitas CA, sister Carol of Wayzata, MN; father- and mother-in-law Jerome and Marlys Warzecha of Glencoe, MN and brother-in-law Larry (Jodie), as well as nieces and nephews, Nicole, Michael, Brooke, Katie and Eric Wimsatt, Breanna, Elizabeth Warzecha and Courtney Frick. Pete was active in the Mound Evangelical Free Church, where he taught Sunday school and regularly attended services. He enjoyed all sports, was an avid movie fan, and loved to sing 70's songs anywhere he could find a karaoke machine. He and Karen often went on weekend trips to explore Minnesota and Wisconsin.
