I remember having the biggest crush on Danny Garrison when we both were at Central Elemantary. The thrill of the year was being invited to my first boy/girl party in probably 2nd grade and he was there too!! (Funny, my now first grader Emma would think nothing of a boy/girl pary......isn't that how they all are??). Anyway, years passed, as while we remained friends as things go we were not very good at keeping in touch.
One of the biggest challenges I ever faced as a nurse at Longmont United was dealing with the fact that it would be common place to be caring for someone I knew personally if not the family member of someone I knew (not hard growing up in Longmont). Well, one afternoon a patient was coming in who would be mine. I followed the team into the room to take over care and looked into the eyes of an old friend. While he could not talk at that time his face told me he recognized me as well, and I spent the next 12 hours doing everything I could to focus on caring for Danny and help him get well. He got well and went eventually to the floor and then home. We spent some time catching up while he was in ICU and he told me it was as surprising to him as it was to me to meet in that situation, and he was glad to see a familiar face. Bless you Danny and thank you for the chance to catch up.........but next time let's do it over coffee or better yet a beer, OK?

Danny was like a brother to me. He was the only guy that my mom would let come over to eat dinner with us. And he was the only guy that I let get away with calling me Claude! I am sorry that he had such a hard life growing up and as an adult. I think of you often Danny, and the fun times we had in your garage listening to Foghat!
Hope you are at peace.

I knew Danny from cruzin main street mostly. Then lost track of him till around the middle 80's playing in a basketball leage our teams practiced together every week. It was fun remembering the cruzing main nights and how much it changed.

I did not know Danny that well until we were seniors, but he was a great guy to go hunting with - except for the time he shot a hole in my mom's horse water tank! My dad laughs about that now but he did not think it was too funny then, like a lot of stuff we did.

I did not know that Danny was in poor health until the 20 year reunion and I almost did not recognize him. Now that he is gone I wish I could have gotten to know him a lot better. Rest in peace!

Danny I remember the time in 9th grade when we thought it would be a brilliant idea to cut class in the middle of the day and headed to your place (the garage of course). We drank to many RC colas and smoked to many cigarettes.

I got in a lot of trouble when I had courage to go back home that day but its a memory I wouldnt give up for anything.

That was one of many (to many) times we spent getting stupid together. Its a damn shame we lost you so young. You will be missed always.
