I love to dress up.  Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday.  Would you be into an 80's/90's dress theme for our Saturday event or do you want to stick with contemporary dress?

The scary thing about this question is that some of the clothes that are considered '80s/'90s ARE contemporary now.  Leggings, jewel tones, big hoop earrings (yes, they went out of style for a while--at least on me), and I think I saw an ad for legwarmers in last weekend's paper.  Of course, living in Minnesota, it could be that they never went out of style!  After all, it's rather chilly here--whoever heard of a <70-degree day in August!!!

I actually saw a woman wearing stirrup pants a couple of months ago and sent one up to the powers that be for her to have pulled them out of the way-back of her vast closet.  Those dang things always made me look like a upright cheese wedge.

In my heart of hearts, I would LOVE it if we could all try to look as much like our yearbook photos as possible, but I KNOW that won't go over.  I suspect we're going to see a lot of gorgeous, well-toned women  with sleek hair and little black dresses, and men in flat-front khakis and dress shirts.  Sigh...

Heck yeah that would be dorky! Everyone will already be in costume, in their own way. Crap, I didn't have any of that stuff in the 80's. But there's lots of it around here....the outbacks of MT run about 20 years behind the times.

Don't feel bad, I have had 7 kids and the body to prove it! LOL!!  SO I will be in the anti little black dress club right along with you!

Caring for your 7 children is a lot more fun and important than being a Size 2!!!! Good for you.

I think the only way I will look like my yearbook picture is if I magically grow hair and break-out with zits...sorry Dede, but I'd rather look like I do today LOL:)
