So sorry to hear about Angela Pedersen's passing .It's a complete shock to hear this news. I would really appreciate some feedback on any info of what happened to her. Angela and I were very close friends in high school. This news truly saddens me. Rest in Peace dear sweet Angela. You will be missed!! Tracey Corts
I too, knew and adored Angela. She was a kind, innocent, sweet, gentle, happy and loving girl who blossomed into a lovely woman. I first met Angela when her family and mine attended the same church as children. She had a hard childhood but was a happy little girl, regardless. Her smile is burned on my brain. I truly loved her, with all my heart and still do. Her only fault in this world was that she trusted the wrong people and allowed them into her life. Sadly, she met, fell in love with a questionable man and then one windy summer day sometime in the early 90's she fell off the side of a mountain rock climbing and died instantly. Her brother in law called to tell me of the devastating news. I have never been the same. Her funeral was hard and sad. We, her two sisters, one brother and I spread her ashes in a field in Boulder. She loved Boulder. And we like to think she belonged to Mother Nature. There was something unsettling about her death. For one, she never mentioned rock climbing as a hobby. Secondly, the man she fell in love with was...different to say the least. Her family suspected foul play in the cause of her death. They never accepted the fact that she was "free climbing" (minus all necessary materials that assure safety) which was the story her "boyfriend" told everyone at the time of her death. Several years after we spread her ashes her family began research into her death. I was unaware of their efforts as I was so devastated by her loss that I tried everything I could to block out the memory of knowing her. I still have a hard time talking about her and I found it hard to contact Dede when this site first came out. But I want to share her with you so...
After much hard work, commitment and love her family discovered that Angela was murdered. The man she innocently fell in love with pushed her off a mountain one afternoon because he didn't know how to break up with her. Instead of behaving like a human being he acted like a monster and killed her. He was proven guilty and convicted of his crime. He is serving life in prison for her death. This is how he will die if the AIDS he contracted through drug abuse doesn't kill him first. Justice has been served in her honor. Not a single day goes by that I don't think of her. I cry for her loss all the time. She was a beautiful girl who loved bigger than her heart. I can still feel her around me and this makes me smile for her. Angela is in heaven where she belongs. I can still remember the last time I saw her which was like a week before her death. I had the chance to tell her that I loved her, in person. I thank God for that memory and for her. I'm sorry to be the one to share this but I want you, for those who knew her, to know how truly beautiful of a person she was and is. She is greatly missed, by me.
