I have stayed around Longmont my entire life. I lived briefly in Greeley, Boulder, and hung around in a few places for a while. I went camping the summer after High School and spend over a month camping up in Minnesota with my then girl friend Bobbie and her family, and it was a BLAST!
I got to take the my kids to Disney World (except for the youngest one because she was too little) for three days ago in 2007 and it was very special. I had been a few times with my family and once with tech club but this was special and I was the Man in charge, and it felt great!
I graduated from Longmont and was ready to move on with my life. I was not liking school at the time, and now I regret it. I took a few classes at Front Range my senior year at LHS, and a few at CDC. At the time, I was not really into the graduation thing, but I found ways to make it fun (like going naked under my gown, and walking with my best friend Nicole Faivre). I moved to Greeley to party and have fun. I had been accepted there, and to Metro, but decided to take a few years off and party since I thought I was burned out from school. I have not made it back to school yet! I have applied for the Colorado State Patrol, and some agencies in Wyoming. I am very interested in Law Enforcement. I did very well on my POST test in Wyoming, but did not make it all the way through the hiring process anywhere. I am over coming some physical obsticals right now, but hope to start applying again up in Wyoming once my body heals and they lift the hiring freezes.
So for now, I am doing what is close as I can currently get to my second choice of a carrer, and thats driving a truck! I want ot drive tractor trailer, but you can't get a job without experience, and can't get experience without a job. Plus, most local companies want people with over the road experience, and I was all lined up to go drive a truck all over the country, but was blessed with my first child and decided I would rather be home every night to take care of her! So I am driving a smaller truck delivering laundry, and its a lot of fun! It is dirty and nasty, but I get to go to all kinds of different places and see many different walks of life! Any given day, I will deliver to hospitals, car repair shops, manufacturing plants, doctors offices, schools, resturants (I still don't know how to spell that), and more!
Pretty much right after High School, I decided that I wanted to start a family, so thats what I did! I am very thankful for my kids and they are my world! I do not party anymore, but I sure work a lot! I enjoy taking my kids hiking, going to parks, and finding fun things to keep us all busy and out of trouble!
