After high school, I attended CSU, ran cross country and track. I graduated in 1994 with a degree in Nutrition. Went to NJ for and internship to become a dietitian. Worked in Massachusetts for a year before moving to Iowa. Worked at a life insurance company for 5 years while looking for my dream job. Became foster parent and adopted Austin. Returned to college at Drake, got my masters to teach. Been teaching science for 5 years now. Been a foster parent for almost 12 years and still have one more, Geneveive 17, with me now, she graduated and will be moving on to school. I return to Colorado 2-3 times a year and get to 'live' with my Mom in MEAD when me and the boys visit.

I loved high school. Have memories of classes - loved Spechts Calculus class and acing the test, falling asleep in Heibe's Chemistry class, sports - cross country and getting our mohawks, wrestling and running the halls and sweating off 8 pounds in one practice, track and trying the pole vault and completing with Genevieve at Nationals after Senior year, band and never being as good as Trevor, eating 2-3 school lunches with Dan Javernick - THEN ice cream sandwiches. That darn school dance where Marci jammed those bananas down my throat. Drinking boxed Matilda Bay and going around with Tracy Schultz and Kyle Parker. Sleeping out that last week with Robin, Todd, Dave and more.
