After high school I went to EWU then married my high school sweetheart and neighbor, Annette Miller. We moved to Dallas, Texas in 1982 and completed college. I began my finance career while Annette started a private fitness training business. Texas has been a perfect fit for us and we love it down here. We purposefully waited 11 years before we had children. We traveled quite a bit and focused on our careers. We had a great time then realized that we needed to get our family started.
We now have 4 children and we just celebrated our 28th year wedding anniversary. Having 4 children is a big undertaking and there is never a dull moment in our house. We are busy with school, sports and other children activities. It is a busy time in our lives but a great time!
I am currently working as a marketing consultant at Perot Systems in Dallas. It is challenging and very rewarding. Annette has continued her fitness business for 26 years and has a daily radio feature "Fitness Minute with Annette Hammond" that is broadcast every day, 7 days a week world-wide on the American Forces Network and also nationally on other radio stations. She does frequent television appearances (mostly FOX News) and public speaking on health and fitness. (website:annettehammond.com)
We are busy raising the children and continuing with our careers. We are involved at church and our walk with the Lord has always been our first priority throughout our lives.
