Worked in the Restaurant & Bar business all through high school, college & beyond. Helped to open 4 Harry's Hofbrau operations in a Management/Trainer position, opened my own restaurant, "Coaner's Hofrau in 1987 then in 1999 began my current career in Real Estate. Began with Alain Pinel Realtors in Saratoga for 12 years then moved to Coldwell Banker in San Jose where I have been since 2011.

Fortunately our family enjoys staying active so our best times are the family hikes at different National & State Parks. Scariest moment was hiking down into the Grand Canyon on a somewhat narrow switchback trail. Views, if enjoyed were awe inspiring and felt so little. I mean pictures, movies or what is shown on TV do not do it justice. May post pic of some moments or others from differing park trails. Stay tuned.

One more thing use to love climbing trees, going n tall buildings and looking out over the city's skyline views, but admittedly I have a fond respect for heights now.

School Story

A great & very unique if not "opportunistic" story regarding Civics class, for true friends ears only!

Happy belated my ole dear friend. I remember when I moved to California from back east, we did not exactly hit it off so well. I got cut from the Covington BB team, decided to go out for track. Somehow I don't recall but at some point during practice or a meet we became better friends & feel the same way today about you. It was great seeing you at that last reunion & chatting a bit. Wish you a Happy Birthday and of course a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2025! Take care my friend & stay well.

Jim, sorry to be so late but holiday fiasco's & Covid got in the way but did want to wish you a very happy birthday. Please stay safe, stay healthy and have a great 2023! I can't help but think how nice it was to see you at the reunion this past year. I hadn't been to one since the 10 year and as our class grows smaller I can't help but remember when we were just Covington kids. Constantly getting yelled at during PE by Mr. Purdy. Still remember running track with you after being cut by the baseball coach. Lot's of fun indeed. Stay well my ole friend!
