My dad, the veterinarian, had me take a bunch of kittens from his practice with a sign "Oh Give Me a Home". They all were adopted.

My recall is that Mark Duggan was with him and that is how they both passed away, in their sleep.

I remember this well. It was only a week or two after we graduated. 

I had gone to the beach that day with Bob Smith, his younger brother. When Bob got out of the car at his house, he said "another boring day at the beach". He then found out that Bill had been driving a jeep on El Camino when the car in front of him stopped; he swerved to avoid it and it tipped on its side. Due to the great safety engineering, the gas tank was located under the driver's seat and it caught on fire. He couldn't get his seat belt unfastened and lived about a day before succumbing.

Mr. Wilde gave a great eulogy at the funeral before he, too, unexpectedly passed.
